Our dental marketing team is the secret sauce that makes Wonderist Agency special. “Wonder Buddies”, as we’ve come to be known, are a driven and ambitious breed. We constantly strive to find ways to improve, always elevating the work, challenging each other and pushing ourselves to be better. But most importantly, we care. A lot. We get to know our clients and their businesses on a personal level, and in a way that few other dental marketing agencies would. And that’s because every member of our team understands that our client’s livelihood rests in our hands. It’s the nature of small business, and with a small business of our own, the goal is always growth.

Michael’s passion for entrepreneurship landed him square in the middle of Milwaukee’s growing start-up community. Playing an active role on the local scene, he and Laura started laying the groundwork to grow Wonderist Agency. With artistic vision and a scrappy, jack-of-all-trades mindset, Michael has brought energy and strength to a great foundation. When Michael isn’t burning the midnight oil, you might find him working on his 1964 classic boat, fishing, rummaging through local antique stores, or enjoying a craft brew.
After 10 years in the advertising world working on both agency and client sides (General Motors, Kohl’s Department Stores, Microsoft, and Sony Pictures) Laura took the jump into small business ownership in 2011. Since then she’s been having a ball helping dental practices find their marketing footing and educating her clients. Aside from her love of dental-land, you might find Laura giving back to the community through Junior League of San Diego, the San Diego County Dental Foundation, practicing Yoga, hanging with her 4 rescue dogs, traveling, and drinking coffee.

Combining two parts data-analysis with one part hustle, Stephanie is on a mission to grow our clients’ web traffic and revenue. When she’s not combing rankings, optimizing content, and tracking conversions, you’ll find this born-and-raised San Diegan practicing yoga, meandering around her North Park neighborhood farmers’ market, or concocting fermented foods and beverages (think kombucha, kimchi, etc.)– pastimes she picked up during her college years at the University of Oregon.
As soon as she realized “coloring on the computer” was a legitimate profession, Holly started on her path as a graphic designer by making wallpaper art for her family’s computer desktops. Her portfolio has since expanded to include designs for food startups, higher education, international development projects, and now, dental marketing and branding. When Adobe Creative Suite isn’t open, Holly enjoys running along the San Diego coast, extra large glasses of California cab sauv, being disappointed by the Buffalo Bills, and tagging people in dog memes on Instagram.
They said building a process that creates beautiful websites efficiently and on schedule couldn’t be done. Actually, a lot of people said it could be done. It’s done all the time. As Head of Web at Wonderist Agency, Paul makes sure that it gets done here too. An alum of UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Digital Media, this banana slug has over 10 years experience in marketing, web design, and all things digital. And get this, he enjoys activities outside of work as well.
With her nasally, Chicago accent and her no-nonsense work ethic, this big shouldered broad has a passion for all things creative. You can most often find Mary throwing her two cents into web and design meetings, asking our SEO Manager countless questions, and quietly muttering lines of copy to herself as she whips websites, direct mailers and all things content into shape.
April began her career working in higher education, but quickly discovered a passion for marketing. Born and raised in North Carolina, April moved west with her husband, and their chocolate lab, in search of new adventures. When she’s not coordinating marketing strategies for her clients, April can be found hanging out by the beach or road tripping across the US. April is also a member of Junior League of San Diego where she coordinates fun events for members.
Chris began his career in New York City as a Production Manager for live theatre productions, as well as television and film. After spending some years traveling the country for work, he eventually settled San Diego, CA. Chris brings 5+ years of Marketing experience to Wonderist with an emphasis in Social Media Marketing. When not managing the social media ad accounts for Wonderist clients, you can find him exploring local breweries, taking pictures around town, and cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Joanna traded perpetual fog and peacoat weather for San Diego’s sun and beaches in 2010. She earned her B.A. in Advertising and Marketing from San Diego State University, and dove into the industry first through several nonprofit marketing/communications roles, and later in an agency environment. In her free time, Joanna is a voracious reader (she is especially fond of dystopian fiction and suspense thrillers), loves leg day at the gym, and continues her nonprofit involvement through volunteering.
Chi is a San Diego native who discovered her love for Social Media while working for a fashion brand in New York. She brings her passion, skill, and enthusiasm to her role as well as an eclectic sense of style. When she is not creating content, Chi can be found planning her next Music Festival outing, preparing for her Great British Bake Off debut, struggling to control her Harry Potter obsession, or getting rowdy at hockey games. Go Blackhawks!
Born and raised in Georgia, JoJo spent the first few years after college traveling around the country for a non-profit organization. It was through those adventures that she found a love for the west coast, San Diego in particular. In her down time, JoJo can be found facetiming her niece and nephew, planning her next trip, and rooting for LeBron James anywhere that has the largest TV screen possible.
On a whim, Pierce moved to San Diego from his native Atlanta after graduating college. After realizing sales wasn't for him, and lacking the necessary talent for a professional surfing career, Pierce found a passion for designing beautiful and unique websites. When he isn't struggling to decide what font combination most screams "modern family dental", you can find him hiking, at a local music venue or attempting to check off every craft brewery in San Diego.
Like many of her fellow co-workers, Lauren is not a California native but moved to San Diego when she realized that people did not have to suffer through Boston winters every year. Lauren loves creating sites that reflect the client's personality and at the same time draws in their prospective patients. Her favorite thing about building websites is that the process is ever changing. There is always an awesome new feature to learn and incorporate into a site. When not in the office, Lauren is most likely driving up and down the beautiful California coast.

Nina comes from a dental family right here in San Diego! While she didn’t end up (directly) following in their footsteps, she’d like to think her graphic design work with dentists still counts as keeping the legacy going. Working closely with clients helped her discover a passion for communicating on a visual level, which eventually inspired her to take the leap into the wonderful world of design. When she's not designing, Nina enjoys getting lost in design and innovation magazines and taste-testing the latest food trends.
Cortney grew up in Georgia and after graduating college, lived in St. Louis and Seattle before deciding to make San Diego home. After freelancing for a while, Lauren joined the Wonder Buddies full-time as a copywriter. She likes to think that she started a trend because Wonderist hired two more Laurens immediately after she got the gig. (Together, they make up 13% of the company.) In the office, you can find her cuddled up with a blanket and coffee while she writes, edits, and accidentally responds when another Lauren is called. Outside of work, Lauren spends most of her time climbing, running, and snuggling with her French bulldog, Elvis Presley.
Born and raised in the middle of California (who knew people actually lived there?) Lauren knew she would someday make the move to Southern California. After a confusing first year of college as an Agriculture major, she moved to the much more glamorous Business department where she found her love for digital marketing. As an SEO Specialist, she helps our clients improve their online search presence; as a normal, everyday human, Lauren enjoys taking her long-haired dachshund, Apollo, to the beach, searching for the best flat white in San Diego, and pretending to the like the San Diego Padres (they’re her favorite football team).
